Bullfrog Power’s green electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada, under its EcoLogo^TM₂program, instead of from carbon-intensive sources like coal and natural gas or from higher impact hydro facilities. As an independent third party, 1% FOR THE PLANET confirms that member businesses meet their donation commitments. 1% FOR THE PLANET also verifies that the groups receiving funds have clear, worthwhile goals directly related to the environment. These measures deepen our commitment to supporting conservation of wild places.

In an effort to reduce bureaucracy and encourage participating businesses to develop independent relationships with the groups they support, 1% FOR THE PLANET members donate directly to their choice of approved organizations. Greenware Products annually supports one or more of these non-profits chosen by the team. Greenware Products further matches our team members’ contributions to those organizations. These relationships are a real positive for our team, enabling them to get involved and affect change firsthand.

World Partnership Walk

The World Partnership Walk is Canada’s largest annual event dedicated to increasing awareness and raising funds to fight global poverty.

Organized by volunteers in nine different cities across the country, the walk attracts tens of thousands of Canadians united in a common effort to alleviate global poverty and support international development. Greenware Products and its employees are cognisant of our growing roles as global citizens, and we are committed to help foster others in less developed areas.

All funds raised (100%) go directly to international development initiatives. Not one cent is spent on administration. Funds raised by the walk help the Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) to leverage additional support from major donors like the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
