At Greenware Products, we view the problem of climate change as perhaps the most significant threat our world is facing. This fact has motivated us to work closely with ZerofootprintTM,2an organization committed to developing programs that facilitate renewable energy projects and carbon offsetting strategies.
Offsets are carbon credits that have been purchased from projects that are taking meaningful steps to decrease the carbon dioxide (CO2)2in our atmosphere, with the goal of helping our planet and preventing climate change. ZerofootprintTM2secures carbon credits from a number of different sources that demonstrate effective and responsible means of reducing the CO2 emissions that lead to climate change.2
Offsetting is central to our approach to reducing our environmental footprint (after the standards of reducing, reusing, and recycling have been employed), and we make sure to practice what we preach. We take steps to make sure we are reducing our impact as much as possible before we offset. At Greenware Products, we understand that offsetting is part of a suite of environmentally-friendly actions, and that offsetting should not replace actions that make it unnecessary.
ZerofootprintTM2offsets are sound investments in our future. This year, Greenware Products began an audit of its Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) that result from operations. We strive to account for all of our environmental impacts and offset the ones we cannot yet eliminate. This includes:
